Ugh I hate sleeping too warm or humid! Day heat wears me out, too, so I want to sleep more. I used to keep a spray bottle next to the bed and spray myself down, then fall asleep under a ceiling fan and kept cool that way

@T.H.O.U.: Funnily enough, we walked a lot more in the city! Walking to school, walking to a cafe for coffee, etc. Here most everything is on a single piece of property and even when we walk into town, it's not that far. It's been a big surprise... gotta find ways to exercise more, since walking isn't happening as much!!

I am temperature/humidity sensitive in general. I can't sleep if its too hot or too cold, too humid or too dry. We constantly have our AC or heater on because I am so sensitive about it and car rides with me are the worst because I'll always complain its too hot or cold (all in the same trip!) But I can't help it, I will wake up from a dead sleep over it or get irrationally angry/upset.

My ideal night temp is in the 60s... Funny, since I grew up in the tropics. One thing to try is take a hot shower before bed, then turn it cool at the end. As your body cools from the hotter temp it trucks your brain into thinking it's already falling asleep, which encourages actual sleep. Good luck!!

I actually can't be cold or I can't sleep and I always get sick! I keep the heat at 80 in our cold great lakes region winter! (Thank you solar supplementation!)

You also could need extra sleep just after being outside in the fresh air and more active during the day!

I'm the opposite. I sleep better because I can't stay asleep if I'm cold.

I cannot sleep when I'm too hot. I like to sleep in a cold room wrapped up in a big fluffy comforter. I argue with my husband every summer because I want to crank the AC at night and he thinks it's ridiculous.

Definitely. My ILs live in a tropical location and it's around 80 degrees at night. They have no AC and the house is really rustic - no glass in the windows, just wooden shutters. I dread spending a lot of time there because I sleep so poorly. They did install a ceiling fan just for me, which combined with a box fan makes it bearable, but it's still not great sleep for me.

Kind of. I hate being hot while I sleep but I live in Texas so attempting to sleep with the fan AND a/c is out of the question. I'll pay all the money to sleep comfortably

Absolutely. I wake up sweaty and it's very hard for me to go to sleep. We wore out the motor on our fan this summer because it was on 24/7 from March to September.

Where I live, it's usually in the high 80s and very humid. It's hard to sleep well without a fan or a/c on, and even then I find that I don't sleep as well! I've been needing at least 8 hours of sleep a night, and I used to only need around 6 or so. I think maybe I'm waking up more in the middle of the night, or not falling into as deep a sleep as I used to.
