I haven't but sometimes I'm actually starving since I usually eat dinner before 6:30 and I don't eat a lot since I'm in a hurry to do bedtime routine and put DD to bed.

Now I'm usually too tired to eat!

Yes! Too much, I'm really trying to cut it back though. Tonight I'm really craving a big bowl of Tillamook marionberry ice cream, but I'm going to have a bowl of frozen fruit instead. Hopefully that'll do the trick.

Yeah, my family really does not do three square meals a day - it just doesn't work for any of us. We eat dinner early, but go to bed late, so we all have a snack before bed. It can be a bit difficult, because my daughter knows that more food is coming after dinner, and so will sometimes not eat much and then be hungry again an hour later. But I'd rather try to thoughtfully deal with that than to force us all into eating bigger meals than we'd really like.

C eats dinner around six, and dh and I usually eat after she goes to bed, so my problem is snacking while she's eating. I have been lucky that breastfeeding really helped keep the pounds off but I was trying to be extra careful after she weaned. I definitely still have to have sweets but I try not to do it mindlessly (says the mom who ate all of her toddlers Easter candy...)

Yes! It's a bad habit. DH and I were doing big bowls of ice cream for a while! I'm just trying to make healthier choices now - tonight I had plain greek yogurt with fresh blueberries and a drizzle of honey.

Yes. Usually granola with milk or oatmeal. It's not every night though. Tonight I had a root beer float  if you know you can trsu yourself to just have one or two reeses cups I don't see the problem. I don't buy stuff like that cause I'll eat like 15 lol

I even crave a snack when they nap! Like a reward for myself. So I've just moved my meals to those times, lunch at 3 when they nap together and dinner at 9 after they go to bed. I still eat a little while they're eating just to set an example but usually I'm too busy feeding two messy toddlers to eat anyway. I am solo most of the time so this actually works out quite well for me, I can eat in peace!

Absolutely! I eat a variety of things. Popcorn, healthy mug cake, ice cream, fruit, chips, extra dinner....nothing is really off-limits. I don't go overboard with portions but I could probably up my veggie quota by eating them at night opposed to some of the other items I listed.

I'm pregnant so yes...I just had an avocado Popsicle, actually. I know I'll have to break the habit soon-or pre plan enough to factor it into my day (then, it's ok, because food is food). It's a really hard one, though!

yea. I grew up snacking every night. Everyone in my family ate after dinner EVERY night. Usually something sweet like ice cream, but sometimes popcorn or pretzels or something. I've never been able to break the habit really. I guess I did when my LO was little because we usually ate dinner sort of late and then I'd nurse LO and we would all go to bed. But once we started putting her down and staying up I was right back at my snacking ways! I'm not a big snacker during the day but after dinner snack is like a staple for me :/

I usually have a snack. I'm trying to be better about picking fruit or veggies but a lot of the time it is a small bowl of chips.

But I usually don't snack during the day, especially at work since I just don't have the time.

I developed a big snacking sweet tooth in the past 6 months...often eating many pieces of chocolate or 1/2 bags of salty snacks after the kids go down. I would justify it by saying that it was "my time" to indulge and relax. Well....yeah, i gained like 10 lbs and am in the process of trying to lose that weight.

I've cut a lot of unnecessary snacking calories out of my diet both during the day and after the kids go down for the night. But every few days I get the urge for a mini reeses cup or just something to relax with.

I'm curious...do you snack? if so, what are your snacks of choice and do you limit yourself? (i.e. time of day, small bowl, etc).
