Then I realize it was warping the backs of my pump parts (I have a Medela Freestyle) so I went to handwashing in hot soapy water every night. Then I went to washing them every other day and keeping them in the fridge. I washed with hot soapy water, let air dry, and stored for next time. I rarely sterilized. I also almost never pumped away from home.
