I search the boards several times a week to find answers. I do love all the fun/random threads, but HB is for sure still a primary source of my parenting information! But I agree with @TurtleDoves: people asking for advice is less. But I think that is cause most have been around for awhile so people are just more comfortable with patenting. Survival instincts kick in pretty early. It's surprising how quick it will all come back to you and how at ease you'll feel after a time. It's just a real energy drain! But the sweet moments of interaction make it sooo worth it. It's a great way to crowdsource. I think I learn more within 5 min of starting an advice thread than I could with hours on Google. I dont really start threads unless its to seek advice or to share an article I really like. I do participate in a lot though! Just the other day I posted about my daughter's fever and the feedback I got both 1) Gave me insight and 2). Eased my worries. So thankful for that!
