So, while I remember it, it doesn't horrify me. </p> <p>With my first LO, I had an epidural. No pain with pushing. </p> <p>With my second LO, it was an unplanned natural birth (LO came too fast and furious), only 10 minutes of pushing. Like others, I recall it being the absolute worst most horrifying pain imaginable... but I can't *make* myself feel the pain again. So in that sense, while I remember the idea of it, I can't relive it. I remember being intensely tired. I remember crying because I thought I couldn't do it anymore. I remember begging the doctor to let me push when he got stuck in the "ring of fire" between contractions. I remember remarking to my husband at one point that I felt like I got hit by a truck at mile 25 of a marathon. I know all of that was a result of the pain from 3 hours of pushing. LO 2 is 5 weeks old and I feel like I can't remember the pain. Granted, I had an epi, but even leading up, I remember the shaking. With both as soon as the contractions got bad me whole body started shaking.
