Honestly sometimes I wish we used google docs for things--I was compiling a big grant submission yesterday and every 2 minutes someone was emailing me their updates and it was a giant mess. If everyone just did it in Google docs it would be SO much easier to compile at the end!! Every so often I need to view one, or view a presentation in powerpoint. I mostly use email and a web application, called Jira. I use Word only when I know I don't need to save something or if I have to make a complicated table or something. I work for a small tech company and my boss loves the Google apps. I agree, I have always hated Excel! I do still use the MS Office products when a client sends me something in that format. I'm also currently helping a client get all of their employees updated to MS 365. You know what was a good program but for some reason I don't have it anymore? Microsoft works. I'm sure there are more advanced things than that now, but when I was a teenager I remember making business cards and flyers and greeting cards. Haha good times!! And I have all my students submit their work to me in google docs, too.
