My OB said that there was really no proof of it helping either way but there was also no harm. It's a daily packet that comes with 2 muti tablets, 2 calcium/mag tablets, and 3 softgels (choline, EPA, and DHA). She also prefers patients to get supplements through diet rather than pills, so she was happy with what I was getting from the amount of fish/seafood we were eating.</p> <p>You can get DHA through fish oil pills or from algae based pills. I now take a high amount of DHA everyday to battle inflammation/pain in my hips and the D.O. and O.B. both recommended taking an algae based DHA supplement instead of fish oil due to the amount I take and concerns over mercury. I take "Expecta" brand - I wasn't able to find it in the vitamin store in my town, but you can order it online. So, if you take fish oil you do get DHA, but there's also the issue of possible mercury from the fishies.
