I don't. My daughter likes daycare okay but she'd rather be with us and I feel like if we started the day not going to daycare she would think she wasn't going then it would be a huge let-down when we went. Also she usually feels crappy after shots so I started scheduling them as late in the day as possible so she can just sleep it off rather than feel yucky all day.

We do take them after shots and have never had an issue. I just let the teachers know to be on the lookout and call me for anything out of the ordinary. In my experience the trauma is over by the time we're walking out the door of the doc's office. My older one (4yo) was excited to show off his bandaids to his friends.

We don't but only because DH has 1 or 2 days off during the week depending on his schedule so we usually go on those days or a day I am off too!

Mine never had any reaction at that age. He cried for like a minute and then he was over it. I'd just give him a dose of Tylenol in case his leg was sore and maybe let him have a treat.

I would do it and just let them know they can give Motrin if needed and he may need a little longer of a nap if possible (mine always sleeps a little longer after shots)

Quick Q. LO started daycare a month ago and is going for his 18 month checkup/shots Monday morning. We'll likely be done by 10am so in theory, I could take him to daycare. He is one that tends to get a bit of a fever/feel crappy after shots, although probably not on the same day. Also I wonder maybe it's traumatic to have him get shots and then leave him at school? IDK.

What do you do?
