We did fall festivals and stuff and they were fun enough. But I'm not super into it either. I'll have to check and see if my church does a party. </p> <p>My husbands company has a party at their office for kids every year. This year we are going and I think my husband is pretty excited to show off his kid. Haha.<br /> We live in an apartment building so trick or treating is staying inside and going floor to floor. I think we'll maybe do that since it's so easy. If it was outside going to people's houses we don't know, I'm not sure.<br /> We didn't trick or treat when I was growing up. My first time was with a friend at age 10. Then last year at 1 yr 7 months we went ToTing all over our neighborhood. She lasted a LONG time. I was shocked. This year she's 2.5 and she's SO excited. I'm hoping to go to our little town's Halloween celebration put on by the local businesses and library. I'm a big fan of celebrating the perks things though. We will go to three special events and both story time and music class encourage them to wear costumes that week. Our neighborhood gets really busy. We give out over 1000 pieces of candy. I took my son at age 3 to a Halloween bash at the children's museum, thought he would love it, but he couldn't wait to leave, so we didn't bother. We did a bunch of small things and it was really fun. I think we briefly went to a halloween event, but she was too young.</p> <p>Last year, we had recently moved and realized our street is actually really into Halloween (most of NYC it's not really a thing since neighborhoods can be impersonal) so we took her trick or treating and it was awesome, she loved it! we also went to an event at our local children's museum. We'll def go trick or treating again, not sure about the museum. The zoo does halloween activities too. We are religious but not against Halloween or anything. Just DD1 hasn't really been old enough until this year and people don't really trick or treat on our street so we've not done much in the past. This year, though, we will be going to the party they're hosting at her Little Gym. She's pretty excited and has outfits planned for all of us. :wink: </p>
