Oh my gosh, this sounds like such an ordeal, I can't even imagine... things to look forward to, I suppose (or dread, haha) :)

I bring mine if going to be out for a while without LO. It was a big reason I went with the medela freestyle so it goes in my diaper bag or purse easily.

I have a manual one that I throw in my bag. If I was gone longer than 4 hours I'd be leaking and sore without one.

Whenever I'm gone for more than 3 hours it goes with me. I went to a football game yesterday and pumped in the car while others tailgated!

I dragged a Medela Symphony with me to work, to field sites, on vacation, etc for the past 7 months. If baby wasn't with me, the pump was.

I had to go to a wedding a few months ago and I pumped in the backseat of the car between the ceremony and the reception. The car/plug adapter has saved me many, many times! I just bought a manual pump to see if that will limit things I have to take though.

When I was pumping 6-9 times a day, the pump went everywhere! For emergencies I also kept a manual pump in my car.

I did bring it once to a wedding but never ended up using it b/c we left earlier than we expected so I figured I'd just do it after I got home, which wasn't that far. Was planning on pumping in the car with a nursing cover on though.

yes, of course! definitely love the freestyle's portability. I think all pumps should be that small these days.

Yes, I've pumped in my car before. Gotta do what you gotta do. But I have to say if u do plan on being out often the new medela freestyle pump is a must have. It can fit in a purse and much quieter then the metro bag one. I have both since when I had my second I wasn't commuting to work by car I left my old one in the office.

Yes! I bring it with me every time I leave the house. I was never brave enough to leave the house with a clogged duct because I would be so stressed out and probably just make it worse.

Good luck tomorrow and enjoy the wedding. I'm sure you will have a great time.

Always! I rarely have enough milk to pump but I still bring it with me JUST IN CASE. I have a smaller nicer-looking bag/backpack that I put it in so that it doesn't scream "BOOBIE PUMP!!!!"...

I have to go to a wedding tomorrow, and I asked the bride if I could pump in the bridal suite of the wedding venue. I'm battling a clogged duct right now, and don't think I can go 5+ hours without pumping! That means I'm dragging my big old Medela In Style with me to the wedding.

Have you ever taken your pump with you when you're going to be away from your LO for more than a couple hours?
