I am never the one to bring up the baby in a conversation. I know many people who exhaust and dominate conversations with me about THEIR children or offer unsolicited advice about my daughter and it becomes too much to handle. If I'm speaking with someone and they ask about the baby, I will answer their question directly without offering much detail because I just don't want to be THAT kind of mother.

I'm the exact same way. I do talk about him sometimes but I am really really aware of it when I do. Also a lot of my coworkers don't have kids yet so I try not to assume they're interested in everything Max-related.

A few of my co-workers are always asking about Charlie, so I will show them an iPhone pic or video if they ask.

But I pretty rarely ever bring up my kidlet to others, because I've been scarred in the past by chatty coworkers who over-shared their own baby news!

What's your policy around mentioning your LO to friends and coworkers?
