My LO takes a lot of small poops throughout the day, so I still do it with most poops. I think pampers is the only brand that is really hard to tear. I will tear one in half and lay them to the side while I open her diaper. If it is a large poop, I will sometimes tear two or just pull a full one to start out with. There are some wipes that tear really well and some that don't, which made me wonder how common it was to tear them. </p>
