Hmmm...if my LO had a fever, I wouldn't send him. Is that what she's doing? If he has a cough or the sniffles, I don't point it out or anything, but it seems that ALL have this going on most of the time. I also have been guilty of noting extra crusties on his eye and sending him anyway. But with a fever or vomiting or obvious diarrhea, I'd keep him home. Don't want to pass that around!

I plan to always tell day care when LO is sick! Not only for the protection of others around her but also so her teachers keep an extra close eye on her. Is it inconvenient to miss work? Of course. But my child's health comes first!

I was really annoyed with a friend today. She told me how sometimes she doesn't tell daycare that LO is sick in hopes that they won't check her temperature and possibly be picked up to go home. She also said how some people can't afford to take the time off so it's okay if the sick policy isn't strictly enforced.

Am i being anal for being annoyed with her casual attitude? We send our daughters to the same daycare (different class groups), and it makes me wonder about how strictly they enforce the policy.
