We would mix up details or forgot that we had even told a lie and end up rafting ourselves out. We don't even lie about surprises mostly because we just can't keep surprises. I thought he would judge me for this or that. I lied by omission about how much debt I had, as well. We went through a really tough place for a while until I figured out WHY I was lying to him so much. Finally, I told him about my debt (well, he saw my open Dave Ramsey spreadsheet on our home computer) and it all came out. </p> <p>We made it though, though and I've learned lying doesn't get me anywhere. I try not to lie to him about anything except for gifts now. It was a REALLY hard habit to break but I had to understand, he loves me for who I am and is a very understanding person. I can tell him stuff and...it'll be ok!
