We didn't have any family in Texas, and I can remember my mom traveling with 3 LO's all alone to CA, OH, FL...etc. I don't know how she did it!! I took Nicholas to Guam with me (24 hour flight time alone) when he was 10 months old. Upgrading and sitting in first class did help a lot so we have more room; and having my meal served to me whenever I wanted it helped too. Aside from about 3 or 4 meltdowns on the plane b/c he had trouble sleeping he was fine. I felt sorry for the person sitting next to me. But oh well! I think I can handle flying both kids alone like that again. It'll just be a whole other set of meltdowns and I might be crying myself! The biggest challenge would be when Nicholas has to go pee. That's the challenge now when I take them out myself. Oh, and shockingly he didn't have ANY jet lag going there and when we got back 5 weeks later. I'm still shocked! I don't think it will be the same next time with two. Haha! However, I wouldn't WANT to do it alone, especially not until the younger one is closer to 2 yo and has her own seat too. I am completely drained after travel days with two kids, and that's with DH on board. The only way I would do it is if I had a ride to the airport, DH was able to come with us through security and had someone meet us at the gate on the other side. Maybe for a short flight? DD's pretty self-sufficient, nowadays, but flying cross-country with her would be a challenge because she's so active these days. (I know he'd be totally fine.... as long as I froze some food). But I don't think I could handle flying with both of them by myself! All the stuff you need, and tending to two kids who both need a lot of your attention on a 6 hour flight.... which is actually 9-10 hours of travel.... Could you? Have you?
