Certified organic is big business propelled in part by places like whole foods. I have studied nutrition and holistic health and learned a lot about pesticides and how our food is raised/grown. I only buy organic meats/dairy/eggs and always buy organic produce from the dirty dozen. I sometimes buy conventional produce if it is on the clean 15, but generally not. It can get expensive, but I try to balance it by not buying processed foods and eating less animal products. It is kind of scary how many chemicals go into the foods we eat and to think of them in iur bodies. That being said, I don't go to great extremes to eat ONLY organic foods and I don't worry about it too much. I definitely don't think people should worry about buying all organic if they can't afford it.
