Especially if you are open to a SAHM who has her own kid at the same time--maybe a mom in your daughter's class, where the two kids get along?</p> <p>Even a teacher's aide of young teacher at your daughter's school---you will have the teacher in-service days, but teacher's aide generally get to leave immediately after school lets out, so all your days would be covered except those in-service days which you could take off work if you know in advance.</p> <p>I also had a HS age babysitter last year who had another job picking up someone's kids every day and walking them home and staying with them 1 hour. You'd have to find the right student, but this girl was fabulous and I would totally trust her (or someone like her) to do that every day and on random holidays. And as long as they are in the same district, they will have all the same holidays off. I may have to ask around and see if they know any kids looking to do this type of thing.</p> <p>I used to be a mommy's helper in college. I woke the kids up and got them to the bus stop before heading back to the dorms to get ready for class.
