They did a great job considering they were immigrants and working multiple jobs each. I think about how difficult things were for them and it really hurts my heart. I wouldn't say DH and I are better parents, we're just more fortunate. My parents really didn't invest any time in my emotions and so I want to do that differently. My mom and dad worked incredibly hard and definitely did the best they could. They definitely sacrificed a lot more than Mr Bee and I ever will. In that sense they were better parents.</p> <p>But Mr Bee and I are pretty invested in doing more positive parenting, and raising emotionally intelligent (as well as intellectually intelligent), well-rounded children. In that sense, I hope we are better parents.</p> <p>Are you and your SO better parents than your parents? </p>
