I did a photo book of LO's first year and I had to look at her birth certificate to check the time she was born, and what I had thought was wrong. And I put she was 21 inches - I was sure! - and then later found out she was actually 20 inches. Even if we didn't it has always bothered me that my mom can't remember anyrhing about my birth/milestones, so I feel like I will because I'm making an effort to in case our kids ever want to know their birth stories. I have a really poor memory so it is entirely possible it may get hazy. We were all 6 lbs with the exception of one of my sisters (7 lbs). One was born two months early and another was a month late. I remember both of my kids' stats right now but may not in the future. Time, gestation, weight, length...none of it. Just our birthdays! Although one year she said "I can't believe you'll finally be 18!" the day before my 19th birthday. She remembers my younger sister's but she was a 27 week preemie. I even remember how much she weighed at birth. So that's a little different. I'm not saying anything against my mom (heck, she had 3 kids and worked full time and it's been 25 years), but I can't ever imagine not remembering that T was born on Feb 21st at 8:35pm at exactly 40 weeks and weight 8lbs 9oz and was 20.5 inches long. Haha Do you think you'll always remember?
