@banana: I'm honestly not sure! I have all the paperwork upstairs. I'm really curious to know the results they get! They do saliva samples and behavioral surveys with me, and in 4 weeks (at 34 weeks) they will do a 4d ultrasound for about an hour to measure her response to external stimulus (they said they use a restaurant type buzzer on my belly and watch her response).

then, they want samples of her meconium (yuck) and other poopy diapers after she's born-few months old, and will also meet with us to monitor her behavior and all that. so interesting!

@sorrycharlie: Wow, interesting! I'm curious to hear about the results! Is this a long term study?

I always feel terrible when I'm upset, wondering if she knows.

I'm actually participating in a study through my hospital throughout my pregnancy and afterward of how my anxiety and/or depression affects her development!

Your poor noggin! I find that if I'm stressed out about baby girl then she won't move around because she's a stinker. But if I'm stressed out about random external things (like my BIL going on and on about how much he hated me yesterday and me thinking "My in-laws are nuts if they think I'm going to let him be around my kid.") then she freaks out.

Hah, I feel like baby is quieter in there when I'm stressed out or upset! Like she doesn't want to make a move because she is stressed out or upset too! Poor thing.

I went out with my LO today, and right when I was about to get LO out of her car seat it started POURING rain. Like torrential style!

My driver side door was still open so I shut LO's door, and jumped into the driver's seat. Ugh. While getting into the car, I slammed the top of my forehead against my car door and almost had a cow when I saw and felt that my head had a dent in it!

It hurt so much that tears just started falling from my eyes. I sat in the car for a bit trying to calm myself down and thought it was so wild when the baby in my belly started moving around like crazy.

I guess s/he knew I was in pain?

Is your baby more active when you're distressed?
