@chopsuey119: I can't figure out if my daughter really understands about the new baby. We've tried telling her the baby is in my tummy, but I think she thinks all babies come from eggs, so she doesn't understand. But, she does talk about baby sister and how she can't wait for baby sister and she's so excited. I tried to find a good "big sister" book from the book store recently, but they all seemed geared to older kids.

My daughter has always been a big cuddler and a mama's girl, so there hasn't really been a change there. I can't wait until the new baby is here, though, because she is going to freak out when she realizes baby sister is a real baby and is going to live with us. I think she will be excited and maybe a little jealous. My husband thinks she will want to help because our daughter always wants to do everything I do. She's also going through a big "helping" phase right now and wants to help us cook and clean and everything.

@mrs.wagon: OMG my husband bought him a shirt (I have no idea where he got it) that says "Oppa" on it. hehehe. It's so cute! He found it at some korean clothing store I think. I'm nervous having my son meet her for the first time! I don't know what he'll think or do!

About the same time we found out we were having another baby, our toddler got really clingy. He used to fall asleep by himself and now we have to lie in the nursery until he falls asleep. He used to be very nonchalant when we left for work and then he started screaming bloody murder and trying to follow us out the door (this has gotten better recently). I don't know if it's his age, too, but it seemed like he sensed something.

@banana: @chopsuey119: I love those Korean things, especially when they turn out to be true and you all of a sudden become your mom in evangelizing these crazy Korean things ;) Who posted about Korean fan death? that made me LOL so bad!!

@banana: that's what @mediagirl said! I will definitely have to find some trucks for him... the weird thing is that he doesn't normally like trucks or trains but he has shown interest in matchbox cars lately, so maybe we'll get him a bunch of little trucks. :) are you getting your LO a "big brother" t shirt? I want to get one for Wagon Jr., but I'm almost positive my parents will forget to put it on him when they bring him to the hospital anyway :)

@chopsuey119: OMG hahahaha!! My mom said the exact same thing about DFD. And what's weird is that he was TOTALLY doing it too! LIke all the time! He stopped doing it for a while, which made me sad cause it's so freakin cute when they do that. I thought my mom was BSing but I guess it's a total korean thing.

@mrs.wagon: A truck? How funny! Maybe you should give Wagon Jr. a truck as a gift from baby to him at the hospital? That'd be cute!

@chopsuey119: omg that's so funny about the downward facing dog!

Wagon Jr. has been slightly more clingy to me, definitely more affectionate towards me, giving me ppo-ppo almost whenever I ask for it (unless I ask like four times in a row, then he says nooooo). He says "baby in mommy's belly" and once lifted up my shirt and asked "where the baby go?" he also says this weird thing when I ask him about the baby in my belly... he says something about a truck. or "sruck" in his language. It usually goes "RJ, is there a baby in mommy's belly?" Wagon Jr.: "Mommy *something something mumble mumble* a sruck!" I have no idea what it means but he's pretty consistent about it! When I ask him what he means, he just smiles at me. Haha. The mysteries of toddlerdom...

@banana: I remember your LO having a meltdown! Has he been okay with the growing belly since?
I don't know. Koreans have a "thing" for everything! My mom said that when kids start doing the downward facing dog it means they're ready for a little sibling. Crazy thing is, LO started doing DFD nonstop a week or so before I got pregnant! :)

My LO had pretty much settled onto team daddy and then abruptly switched back to team mommy. Our dog is also being very clingy to me (very unusual). I think it could be because I'm pregnant.

I had the exact same thing happen to me! I think I actually started a thread about this. My son was acting sooooo weird for a while and it was right after I showed him my belly. He quickly pulled down my shirt to hide my belly and walked away. That same day right before his nap, he had an EPIC MELTDOWN. Like something I had never ever seen him do. He only did it that one time and that was it. My mom said it's cause he knows there's a baby in my belly and I freaked him out. Is that a korean thing??

My LO has been team daddy since forever.
I have no idea what's gotten into her, but for the past 2 weeks she's been all about ME! She calls umma at least 100x a day (I'm not even exaggerating), screams when I leave the house, and wants lots of holding and hugs.

My mom says it's because she knows there's a baby on the way..

I think it might be true? She's been patting my belly and when I say "eggi bbobbo" (kiss the baby) she'll kiss my belly...

What do you think?
