Similar to what Red said, I have seen my LO's problem solving skills in action and that is what impresses me more than how many words she knows or how well she can put together a sentence. She seems to understand a lot of the things I tell her and follows directions pretty well. She's amazed us more than a few times with how she's problem-solved (ie. moving her toy over to the cabinet so that she can step on it to grab the remote, lol). There are also times when she has this look of concentration on her face and I can totally imagine the little hamsters in her head running on the wheel.
