Last week DH and I were staying at a hotel were there was a complimentary breakfast. Right on the ticket it said "Gratuity not included" - except that NO ONE served us at all.... we got our own food, juice, utensils, etc... Even I didn't feel bad not tipping in that situation!</p> <p>Honestly - my best vacations are when we go to Sandals...your tips are already included in the price of your vacation so tipping is not allowed... So i do tip a small amount there. But for something like pizza? Someone does have to pack it, which I'm sure takes a few minutes, and if its bar pickup, then a bartender is taking time to help me, which is taking time away from their bar customers. Also, I'm not sure how it is now, but I had a good friend who worked at outback, and who hated the nights she worked takeout. She got paid the same as serving, but half the people didn't tip. My Chinese place has a line for it on the receipt when I swipe my card, but they are also a full service restaurant so they may just not have the ability to remove that line from the receipt when it's a takeout order.</p> <p>I think them taking my order is just part of their job.
