Never, ever, but I would like to! DH travels 4-5x a year and I'm always envious of him getting to see a new city and sleep in a nice hotel room alone, ha!

I do, although a bit less this year than usual. I am away about 4-5 weeks a year and I actually like it quite a lot. It has caused some strains recently but it's something that is important to me an in my specific career. I am having a lot of indecision about an upcoming trip I need to take which would take me away from home for 2 weeks... I cannot imagine being gone and away from LO for that long, but this may be a really, really important trip for my career and will help me to better understand what I do. I am torn.

I have in previous years, but not recently. I really dislike traveling for work. I hate being away from my family... it's lonely, and I feel like my days are longer and more tiring. I don't find anything romantic about it, and don't even get to enjoy the city I'm in because I'm stuck in the office from morning til night.

Occasionally. I haven't had to travel since having LO2 (pumping and traveling sucks and I've been dodging it). Typically I travel once a month overnight and one or two 3-4 night trips. I quit my last job because there was a lot of travel (extended and international).

I do and just now realized how much of a PITA it's going to be if we both have overnight travel at the same time. :bummed:

I used to pre kids and it was okay. Usually went to the middle of nowhere though. I switched positions right before having kids and I don't travel anymore

Occasionally. I did 4 trips in 2015 that required overnight stays. Nothing so far for 2016.

I used to. It was always great locations too. Paris in April? Yes please!

Now I only have to travel locally only a couple hours away and only one overnight in five years.

I am considering taking a position that would include part travel with the role. In my pre-kids life, I loved to travel (for work and otherwise) and would've jumped at the chance, but it definitely gives me pause now that I am a mom.

I think DH and I could definitely manage it with our parents' support/help. I'm definitely not taking it off my list, because I do enjoy work travel, but also think it could get old real quick...
