I am away about 4-5 weeks a year and I actually like it quite a lot. It has caused some strains recently but it's something that is important to me an in my specific career. I am having a lot of indecision about an upcoming trip I need to take which would take me away from home for 2 weeks... I cannot imagine being gone and away from LO for that long, but this may be a really, really important trip for my career and will help me to better understand what I do. I haven't had to travel since having LO2 (pumping and traveling sucks and I've been dodging it). Typically I travel once a month overnight and one or two 3-4 night trips. In my pre-kids life, I loved to travel (for work and otherwise) and would've jumped at the chance, but it definitely gives me pause now that I am a mom. </p> <p>I think DH and I could definitely manage it with our parents' support/help. I'm definitely not taking it off my list, because I do enjoy work travel, but also think it could get old real quick... </p>
