I feel your pain. LO's nursery faces a large street with a bus stop right underneath us. If it's not the rumbling of the bus, it's frequent ambulances, police cars (loud sirens), delivery trucks, or the occasional obnoxious driving honker. Sometimes he can sleep through it...most of the time he wakes up and I just have to sigh, get him, and wait until the next nap, hoping it doesn't happen again.

@chopsuey119: Geez, what did your doctor tell you? Maybe you should consider finding another doctor if that one makes you feel so crappy. You don't deserve that, you're a good mommy!

I give M her first nap 3 hours after she wakes. And then 3 hours after she wakes from her nap. Sometimes she's wired and won't take her 2nd nap. If that's the case, I just put her down a bit earlier for the night. I suck at parenting though so don't listen to what I'm saying. #bitter HAHA

Wow, that sounds like a lot of work!!

I often have to time the LO's nap around things if we had somewhere to be. Like if we wanted to drive into Manhattan, we would wait until she was ready to nap and then go into the car.

I have to time them around when the cleaning lady comes. By the time she's done, LO is sooooo fussy. But there's nothing I can do about it.

i put olive down based on when she last woke up. can you get a white noise machine? they are so effective at drowning out noise. the app i have on my iphone is super duper loud and can drown out anything!

Our house/LO's room window is beside/faces the side yard of an elementary school. I've had to time LO's naps around morning and afternoon recess, lunch time, and after school dismissal! 50% of the time, LO can sleep through the screaming kids but the other 50% of the time, she wakes up screaming.

Sigh.

Do you have to time your LO's naps around anything?
