I find the regular pack easier, I also orgainze with gallon ziplock bags, and it's really nice to have both hands free. It's a regular backpack but it does have two little pockets on each side that are perfect for holding drinks. I usually use ziploc bags to keep things organized inside. I'm using DH's old backpack which we used for trips, etc. If he uses it for trips again, I'll get a cheap one for a diaper bag. It was a fashion backpack, not a diaper bag. It didn't have any compartments other than a front pouch, so I bought several clear zipper pouches to organize it. It worked out great. If I did it again, I would buy a different brand that was less of a fashion bag and more durable, but it was wonderful having hands free and be able to bike ride with it on our trip. I like that it has lots of places to put things. I would prefer a backpack with just two or three zips, though, one intended for most things.
