It helps us so much with budgeting, with keeping accountable to our savings goals and seeing progress toward savings and retirement goals. </p> <p>It even helped me pay off my student loans by keeping me visually apprised of the progress I made chipping away at them (and by shaving spending in my budget that I only saw once we started tracking everything in Mint and moving away from using cash at all so we CAN track everything better). </p> <p>It is also wonderful to have the transaction history there - DH's bank trashes his online account records after 3 years, and we've had to go back into Mint to check on some purchase history for an old business account of his (thank goodness we had that as a backup!! In the beginning you have to manually change the transaction categories and what not, but once you get things rolling, its really great.
