The "rotating chores" end up happening about once a month in turns. I'm not super anal about it, so if I have extra time I might work ahead to allow for Friday plans or just skip it, knowing I'll get to it next week. I put it into a calendar format and put it in a plastic sleeve on the fridge, adding any other "to dos" for that month as needed with a pen. DAILY: MORNING Make bed Wipe down bathroom counters Empty dish drying rack Rinse coffee maker Take out the trash NIGHT Wash dishes Wipe down kitchen counters Quick sweep, especially in the kitchen Clear coffee table Sort mail Chore of the day WEEKLY MONDAY: Vacuum rug and bedroom TUESDAY: Scrub toilets and tubs WEDNESDAY: Windex mirrors and windows THURSDAY: Rotating chores FRIDAY: Swiffer floors and dust SATURDAY: Laundry SUNDAY: Rest ROTATING CHORES: Wipe down all furniture and cabinets Scrub oven, microwave and fridge Wipe down all walls, moldings and doors Spot clean upholstery and rugs (wash couch cushions) Go through LO's clothes and adjust/store sizes Boheme on "Do you use a cleaning schedule?" https://boards.hellobee.com/topic/do-you-use-a-cleaning-schedule#post-742636 Thu, 25 Apr 2013 14:07:43 +0000 Boheme 742636@https://boards.hellobee.com/ @runsyellowlites: @MamaJ: Ooh, I like those! They're both totally do-able for me. I used to clean our whole house top to bottom on Saturday mornings, but I'm trying to enjoy my Saturdays more... plus now that I'm nearing the end of my third trimester its kind of overwhelming and exhausting to do it all at once. I don't know why....I think apartment therapy has good ideas for schedules! Someone shared that once a month she does things like baseboards or cleans the top of the fridge. I once heard "clean is just a moment in time." I honestly say this to myself when I see my sparkling kitchen get dirty 45 minutes later!
