I did until about 4 months. Then I tried nursing on the train and lost my ticket for my troubles. After that I never bothered but I always wore a tank anyway so it was pull down rather than pull up.

I used to when she was really little, but then I stopped and now I resent that I did and will never do it again! I wear a nursing tank because it's cold here, and just pull my top up. I feed her everywhere in public now, even pushing around a grocery cart, hiking mid-winter, at parties! I think that breastfeeding in public is something that should be normal and I feel like I want to do my best to contribute to that!

No, but I almost always have an A&A blanket with me, so I use that like a scarf. I wear a lot of nursing tanks, so my belly is covered.

Although today I wasn't planning to be out as long as I was and didn't have one with me, so I just try to find a quiet area while I get the latch done, afterwards I'm pretty comfortable.

Never (although I used one with my first DD, just not with my second).

Today, for example, I had to be at a large event venue for work. I didn't have childcare, so I dragged both girls with me (it was a sound check/run-through). DD had to nurse twice while I was there, so I just sat in a chair and sort of turned away from everyone while she latched, and then turned back around once she was situated. I lifted up my shirt and had a nursing cami underneath, so nothing was really showing.

We haven't gone out that much, and I usually try to feed her before we go...but the times I have breastfed in public, I haven't used a cover. I just try to be reasonably discreet, and at the most I've tossed an A&A blanket over my shoulder. I never cover up at home or when I feed her at daycare during my lunch, either.

I did when I was in public with DD1, but now with DD2, I just can't be bothered. I don't do the tank top trick either, I just pull my normal shirt up and go at it. I still think it's pretty discrete, but honestly, I couldn't care less. I'm beyond the stage of caring whether or not someone is offended by me feeding my child.

I used one a few times in the early days but I found it a hassle. I'm of the whip it out ilk, I think you see more boob in low cut tops than when a baby's nursing.

When I'm in a public place I just use a scarf to cover up the part of my breast that F's head doesn't hide (and to cover up everything when he pops off.) I don't do the two-shirt pull up/down method because it annoys me; I just wear a shirt that allows me to pull everything out the top so I feel a little bit of coverage is necessary. That said, if F is bothered by the scarf or I don't have one handy, I nurse without it.

Yes, if I have to nurse in public, but I just try to avoid it. LO has been fine with it until very recently & I like my Bebe Au Lait cover where you can see the baby. Just in the past week or so though she has started to pull off the blanket.

No. I hate using covers, so I breastfed as discreetly as I could (when appropriate) and if I knew it would be offensive to someone, found a private spot to do it. DS is probably part of the reason I hated fussing with a cover, though -- he'd just try to rip it off all the time. We will see how it goes with this next LO. Maybe she'll be more content to nurse under a cover.

Yes, if I breastfeed in public I generally use a cover. I have ginormous boobs and I'm not comfortable with just DS's head covering me. He doesn't really mind the cover and is fine once he gets latched. I like that the cover lets me see him too, a blanket covers him up too much and makes it hard to get him latched. I don't care if the cover call attention to it, I'm fine with the fact that I'm breastfeeding in public. I just don't want to expose myself :).

Oh, but I don't use them in feeding rooms like at Nordstrom's or BRU.

Rarely. I do like to wear a tank or Bella band under my shirt so that my whole side/belly isn't exposed. I wore my full panel maternity pants for so long postpartum that I didn't feel like I was revealing too much skin!

I do sometimes like to use a cover, but never at home. Maybe at a restaurant if I feel particularly on display or at the park right next to a busy footpath.

I never used a cover. It was hard enough to figure out nursing, let alone how to wrangle a cover. I always wore nursing tank tops, so that when I lifted my shirt, my belly and side were covered. Between the nursing tank top, sitting cross legged, and my LO, nothing was visible. Nursing tank tops were my BFFs.
