I drink boricha, DH drinks water out of the fridge filter. We used to use a brita filter water pitcher.

We use a brita pitcher with the filter inside. Less expensive than bottled water and makes the tap water taste better (though I know the tap water is probably fine, it just tastes yucky).

@looch: we don't drink straight up water -- 100% tea. korean people drink tea as their water. it's very mild and i've been drinking it my entire life since before i was even 6 months old (they gave babies water back in the day).

if i drink regular water, it is usually bottled, but i rarely drink bottled water.

Tap water. I can't stand bottled water - the taste, the rip off or the environmental cost.

We give LO cooled, boiled tap water. I will be glad when we can do just straight tap water.

@Mrs. Bee: Question for you, would you boil the water if you drank it straight up too?

I never boiled municipal water while living in the US. There's enough chlorine in it to kill whatever needs to be killed and if they're not using chlorine, the UV process does the job too.

I use a Brita at home, our water has a lot of calcium in it, so that helps.

We drink tap water for the most part. It tastes pretty good and, best of all, it's free!

We have a whole house water filtration system and our fridge has a filter and we also have a reverse osmosis at the sink. Just read a blurb today about how the consumption of bottled water has lead to an increase in dental problems in children. I think because most aren't fortified with fluoride.

No, but we should. It would be cheaper than buying bottled water.

We filter our water with a Brita. I drink it straight out of the tap sometimes but since it's city water it's a bit too chemically for my taste.

Interesting. I have never heard that about boiling water.
We use a Brita pitcher. I'd imagine we would give baby the same when she's old enough for water.

Our refrigerator filters water, but even if we didn't have that we put in a system that softens and filters the water in the whole house.

I give LO bottled water. We drink Filtered Brita and water bottles..
We were thinking of installing a reverse osmosis system but decided against it.

We boil our tap water and drink only tea as our water, but I've read that boiling water can concentrate certain bad things in the water. I'm considering getting a water filter of some sort, and then boiling that water to make tea.

Do you use a water filter? What type of water do you give your LO?
