A lot of people put raisins in but I don't. That pic was before 2 hrs simmering - it looks like brown sludge now it's cooked! It needs to mellow in the airing cupboard for 3 months and then, at Christmas, we'll eat it with cheese and biscuits. It's also nice in sandwiches.
