I spent 3 months in vietnam when I was 15 and learned then and never forgot (like riding a bicycle). But if foods are particularly slippery, sometimes I don't like using them. On a related tangent, in my husband's culture, you eat with your hands. I don't care if he eats with his hands or not..but I've noticed that if I use a fork, he will too...even if it's his culture's food that he's eating. I think it's subconcious. So now I feel bad that I'm changing his eating culture...even though I'm not trying to! I rarely see him eating with his hands anymore...it's always with a fork! Arden on "Do you use chopsticks? But then I switched to brown rice, and for the life of me I could never figure out how to eat brown rice with chopsticks... it just doesn't clump! Around that time, I started eating a lot more with forks. But I still use chopsticks pretty regularly. I'm pretty decent - I can cut things with my chopsticks, and I don't really drop food. My mom made me train with my chopsticks when I was younger... moving a pile of beans using just chopsticks. Do you use chopsticks? Are you good at using them?
