My LO isn't here yet, but my parents used Desitin on ME. Lol

Also, as a side note, I had a heat rash that would come and go for YEARS (I'm literally talking into my pre-teens) behind my knees and my inner elbow. Desitin would clear it right up!

We use aquaphor after each diaper change and Desitin if she gets red. She doesn't get red very often thankfully.

I use Desitin or A&D if it's red or a bad rash, but it's only because I got gifted huge tubs. We wash bottoms a lot to try and prevent anything from starting. I didn't like Butt Paste due to the color which would get on everything. I also have Honest Company balm which is definitely not as strong as others but more natural.

We used Desitin just when LO got a rash- usually following citrus or spicy food. It always cleared up pretty fast. I didn't really develop a preference for one "white" paste over another, so just whichever one I had on hand.

I used Desitin in the beginning, but found that Triple Paste works much better for us. I usually apply a thick layer every night before bed. If her bottom looks a little red or irritated, I'll use it throughout the day too.

When we use a non-cloth safe cream we use Dr. Smith's. It is awesome. I did not care for Boudreax's Butt Paste and never used Desitin.

@Mrsbells: I've never used desitin with her, but I have found the A+D to be easy to wipe off. I don't know how they compare price wise though because I received it at my shower.

@mrsbells try corona!!! It really is the best for even preventing diaper rash from starting and will clear it up. I worked as a child care provider for a number of years and it is like the "secret" of diaper rash creams. You will have to get it from behind the pharmacy counter usually.

@lydg: yes desitin is hard to get off and I think that is making her butt sore.

@zippylef: THe desitin we use it very sticky and wont come off with just dabs. Maybe I need to switch to something else?

We also usually use EMAB. Liv doesnt really get diaper rashes, but she does get yeast infections. For those I alternate between Monistat and Boudreaux's Butt Paste with every change. I dont think we've used Desitin yet.

I have used Desitin with my DDs. Only when they were starting to look a little pink or had an actual rash though. It works really well and is pretty cost efficient compared to the other creams.

I have used desitin but only when her bum looks a little red. She has pretty sensitive skin so if she sits in a poo for more than a few minutes her bum gets really red. It clears up quick but I want to protect it from more irritation. So we use it pretty rarely, when she was smaller maybe once a week but now it's probably once every other week.

We did have one case of diaper rash that wouldn't go away and it ended up being a yeast rash and we needed to use anti-fungal cream to clear it up.

Nope, we use Sudocrem. It's... just amazing. I can't even say how much I love that stuff. It cleared up a really awful, acid-butt, teething diarrhea diaper rash almost overnight. When I need to use it, I use it daily and re-apply with every change.

I read it's better to dap rather than wipe with diaper rash, to keep it from irritating the skin even worse.

I always recommend earth mama angel baby bottom balm, but a week ago LO's rash became really bad and I knew I had to try something stronger. I tried milk of magnesia & Desitin maximum strength and it really seemed to dry up the rash and stop it from spreading, but after about a week, her diaper area seems a bit sore, maybe from all the wiping? If you use desitin, doyou use it daily or only when your LO's has a rash?
