Sometimes I use some BabyGanics protective ointment (like Aquaphor) if she seems a little red. Now that the weather is warmer, though, my boys are getting a lot more naked time. We have all Cotton Babies diapers and the warranty is void if you use any diaper rash cream.....so since I've already made a couple of warranty claims, and I want to be able to keep doing so for the full first year, the liners are important for me. I use it after every poop. When he just pees, I don't wipe him, so the balm stays on from the last poop change. We use angel baby bottom balm. So, I've started putting coconut oil on about every other diaper change. I have sample sizes of (what seems like) every brand diaper cream in her change table drawer, if ever needed though!
