I bring my own. I'm more comfortable with it and I feel like it may help DS sleep since it's familiar to him too.

@winniebee: I've definitely had pnp brought with a big flat sheet tucked under the mattress, so not safe for an infant. It would be ok now that she's older probably but did convince me that I should just bring mine.

@pinkb: I've already called the hotel like four times about my reservation- I'm embarrassed to call again. I changed something in my reservation last week (king bed to queens) with no problem and they didn't think doing connecting rooms would be a problem, so that makes me think it isn't crazy busy? Do I need to call them a fifth time? They might hate me.

I work in hospitality and I would call and see how busy the hotel will be. I hate having to tell guests we ran out of pack n plays. If they aren't that busy I would use theirs, but if they are close to sold out I would bring my own.

I think I will use theirs then. My sister just made me think maybe I was crazy.

@SweetiePie: I am pretty crazy about her sleep, but I confirmed with the hotel that is an actual pack and play so hopefully it feels just like ours.

Also, we are probably arriving pretty late, if traffic is as bad as I fear, so having it all set up will be nice.

We drove up to Michigan for my grandfather's funeral when D was 10 months old. We could have brought our pack and play, but I knew we'd be arriving well after he was asleep in the car, and didn't want to bother with having to set up the pack and play. We used a hotel crib and it was fine. I quickly threw our own crib sheet on the mattress and then put him right down. Hotels skeeve me out because of what I know happens on those beds...that doesn't happen in cribs.

If you are driving to a hotel and could potentially bring your own pack and play, but the hotel can provide one for free, do you bring yours or use the hotel's?

I was planning to just use theirs- usually it is already set up on arrival and everything. But my sister was saying she would bring hers because of germs and whatever else. I'm not usually that germophobic, but hotels do sort of sleeve me out. But I feel like there are probably more germs from walking on the carpet than in the pack and play.

So now I'm just doubting myself. What do you do? I do bring our own pnp sheet so I know that will be clean (sometimes the hotel's ones are not snug enough anyway). She is 22 months and exposed to plenty of dirt and germs at the playground.
