Not so much life lessons, but if we are talking about space ships or volcanos or something, I will find a YouTube video to illustrate a concept.

We use lessons from Daniel Tiger a lot, and it worked well with LO1. Even at 4, we talk about the episode and apply it to real life situations at home. LO2 doesn't talk much, and the lessons from Daniel Tiger don't work as well unfortunately. :bummed:

When she was younger, yes. Not so much anymore because we can talk to her and reason with her.

no, not yet, although i've thought about it for trying to cut down on tantrums and fostering more cooperation.

Daniel Tiger is great for this! We've used it to help with potty training, trying new foods, and starting "school" (daycare).

We sing the safety song when crossing the street. We also talked about the doctor episodes when LO had to go for an X-ray.
ETA those are also Daniel Tiger examples!

Yup Daniel Tiger has helped with potty training, sharing, and trying new foods. I love that little pantsless tiger.

Daniel Tiger has taught her a lot! Sharing, trying new foods, and lots about new babies. I used to scoff at people who said that...

Like Daniel Tiger, for example...

Do you try and use the lessons in the shows to teach your LO something? My 3.5 year old hasn't watched Daniel Tiger much, but just recently got into it over the past 2 weeks or so. She has been saying things like "look, he brushes his teeth just like me!" So it got me thinking that maybe now she will finally understand the lesson behind some of the episodes, and I can try and use them to help with some issues!
