Yep. Just today...DS was waiting on my dad to get here, to take him on vacation and was just wild with impatience. I sat him down in front of the big tv and put on Super Hero Squad. Life saver.

Yes. I purposely didn't get pregnant again until LO watched TV. For a long time she wouldn't watch and I knew I'd have migraines and get sick so I need to be able to lay.

A will be 3 months soon and she's started paying more attention when her big sisters have something on the tv in the livingroom. I don't put it on for her but it's helped me out when I wasn't expecting it.
I imagine soon she will start to pay more attention...but with a 60" tv it's hard for her not to notice it lol

Yes, we put on a Baby Einstein DVD with nursery rhymes while we cleaned Sunday morning. We got done much faster without having to entertain her. She would get mad when we go in front of her and sing along. She was like Mom/Dad, don't block my view.

If she was into it I TOTALLY would. She's only 5 months, so I'm sure a little TV distraction is in my future.

Yes. Especially when I'm home alone with her and need to make dinner. She usually requests Caillou, but she just likes the opening theme song, I need to figure out a way to loop the opening into a 10-15-minute clip for her.

It's my go-to when I have to put the kids down for naps. One goes to bed and the other goes in the jumper with a pbs kids show until I get back. Otherwise, we just use it occasionally when they are cranky or picking on each other and need a zone out kind of distraction.

He will watch like 10 minutes of Disney Jr. in the morning while I get breakfast ready, then play by himself with it on in the background. He almost never watches TV in the afternoon, though, so if my husband isn't home while I'm cooking dinner, I have to find some way to entertain him in the kitchen. He has his own pots and pans to play with and love spatulas, so it usually isn't too awful. I'm embarrassed to say I wish he'd be able to give me like 15 minutes of free time every now and again, but he's just not into it that much.

I freely admit I do! I'm not proud of it but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do!

Often DH works nights and I need to get dinner on for LO and she will not let me put her down! Some dinner prep can be done while holding a LO but some just aren't safe! So I'll pop in her Baby Genius DVD and let her watch that.

Thankfully for the most part she'll be super engaged into it for like 10 minutes then get up and go play with that on in the background.
