We got done much faster without having to entertain her. She would get mad when we go in front of her and sing along. One goes to bed and the other goes in the jumper with a pbs kids show until I get back. He almost never watches TV in the afternoon, though, so if my husband isn't home while I'm cooking dinner, I have to find some way to entertain him in the kitchen. He has his own pots and pans to play with and love spatulas, so it usually isn't too awful. I'm not proud of it but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do!</p> <p>Often DH works nights and I need to get dinner on for LO and she will not let me put her down! Some dinner prep can be done while holding a LO but some just aren't safe! So I'll pop in her Baby Genius DVD and let her watch that.</p> <p>Thankfully for the most part she'll be super engaged into it for like 10 minutes then get up and go play with that on in the background. </p>
