<description>&#60;p&#62;For reasons that aren't entirely clear to me, the kids respond much better to the sound of a timer than they do to me saying, &#34;Ok guys, time is up!&#34;&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;So when we're transitioning between activities, I'll sometimes give the kids a verbal warning that they have 3 minutes left and then set a timer.  Once that timer goes off, they're generally good about transitioning to the new activity!&#60;/p&#62;
