Depends, if I get 7 or 8 hours without waking up, I wake up on my own, refreshed, and ready to jump out of bed.

Anything less than that, or wakeups/tossing & turning? Nope.

I don't even remember what refreshed feels like. My one year old still doesn't sleep through the night. I literally have to drag myself out of bed every day.

I figured it out last night, on a worknight I average around 3.5 hours of sleep. Ugh. No wonder I'm so exhausted and achy all the time!

No! I haven't gotten enough sleep in 3 years. I can't wait to sleep longer than 3 hours at a time someday, and remember what "well-rested" feels like! :silly:

Generally, yes, and it was a lot of work to get there. It's a function of how well I sleep, and to get really good sleep, I need to exercise, mostly. And make sure to take my vitamin D in the morning, every day.

I used to....8 months ago! I don't know how I could feel refreshed after waking 2-4 times a night, and then being woken up wayyyy to early by my baby alarm clock! Maybe one day? Ha.

Nope! I'm exhausted early (by the time I get home from work!), in bed by 10, alarm is set for 5:50 but I give myself a good 30 mins to hit snooze. Definitely not a morning person.

Rarely, & it's only going to get worse when baby girl gets here. :bummed: Since I've been pg, we do go to bed a little earlier, but the holidays & vacation messed up our bedtime schedule. I aim to go to bed at 9:30p & we wake up at 5:15a. I wake up at least once to use the bathroom & lately it's been tougher to get back to sleep. I'd love a nap right now, as a matter of fact... :silly:

Not at all.

I always thought that I wasn't bad but after having almost 2 weeks off for the holidays and waking up when I felt like it, I really noticed a huge difference in how I felt. I wasn't tired throughout the day and had no desire to nap. Now I realize what getting enough sleep feels like and I'm desperate to figure out a solution to feel like this all the time.

Not these days! I go to bed between 9:30 and 10:30 and wake up between 5:45 and 6:30 depending on whether DS has daycare and when he wakes up. That would be plenty of sleep but since DS wakes up 2-3 times a night my sleep is very broken. The fact that it is pitch black outside when the alarm goes off doesn't help either.

I'm with @Mamaof2 in that I wake up to pee a lot (it's driving me nuts now that I'm pregnant again), but I don't work so I usually don't set an alarm. That way I sleep till I'm ready to wake up, and I'm refreshed. Unfortunately I have very high sleep needs, made worse by first tri exhaustion, so I'm sleeping around 12 hours when I do that. If I set an alarm, I'm never good on waking up. But I think that has to do with the abruptness of the alarm. If DH wakes me up a couple hours earlier than usual, I'm usually okay since he's gentle and gradual about it.
