My supply is dwindling but I don't wake up to pump. LO wakes up once a night, but when she's teething it's more often and honestly I'm way too tired to do that.

I just decreased the amount of ounces in her bottles that we send to the nanny share because the nanny was telling me that she usually ends up throwing out an ounce or two from each bottle now that LO is eating a lot more. I still pump 3x a day though. Don't know when I'm going to drop those, she's almost a year.

You all are some dedicated mamas! I'm impressed. I think I woke up for a week or two and pumped at night when trying to build my supply after LO had a tongue tie. I haven't done that since though, even though my supply is still hit or miss. We have supplemented with 1 formula bottle/day since 5.5 mo or so. Hats off to all of you waking up!

No. If I have to, I'll supplement with formula. My freezer stash is down to one large ziplock and that is slowly being used.... My lo is almost 10 months old.

My g/g twins will be 5 months in two days and I pump 1 every 4 hours during day and 1 every 5 hrs at night. I try to pump between 9-10pm that way I can get a good sleep stretch & I pump at around 2-3am then I sleep for about 4 more hrs!

I was waking up twice to pump for a few months because LO was sleeping for longer stretches. Apparently she's over that and back to waking up every few hours so I nurse instead of pump. I don't remember the last time I've slept more than 3-4 hours at night. Ugh.

I did for a very long time...I can't remember exactly, but at least the first year. I was terrified of my supply dropping and breastmilk while I was on a TED was the safest thing for DS to eat/drink so it was very important to maintain. DS wasn't STTN so it wasn't like I was interrupting my excellent sleep anyway.

ETA: DS was still nursing several times a night when he stopped at 21 months, so I would pump in addition to night feeding.

I tried after DD started sleeping through the night but ended up sleeping through my alarm. Since DS is still getting up at least once a night I haven't needed to yet.

@LaineysMom: thank you! I am really hoping to not introduce cow's milk until 13 months. But I think I might have to readjust those plans. :(

@regberadaisy: I just read your other post about almost being at a year. Congrats! If I was at 1 year, I would not be pumping in the middle of the night.. I look forward to the day when I can switch to cows milk..

Not any more. When LO was 1 week old she had to be readmitted to the hospital. I would nurse her at night when I could, but when we didn't make it back on time (or I was too tired) I would wake up and pump. Sooo shitty..

She was released after 1 week and luckily that was the last time I had to pump in the middle of the night.

M already limited supply is dwindling. :( so now in emergency situations I wake up in the middle of the night to pump.
