DD is 6 weeks &amp; a total cat napper during the day. I MIGHT get her 1 good 1-1.5 hr nap but otherwise she's basically up. As for night time, she sleeps from 9-12/1 &amp; then eats every 3 hrs or so. I've woken her up once because it was just about the time she normally wakes, but I definitely learned my lesson... She was fussy &amp; had alot of trouble going back to sleep! I think I stopped when I started putting him down for his naps on his own (up until 6 weeks he was only sleeping in my arms), so at 6 weeks+, if he slept for 2 hours I just let him sleep. I didn't want him to get in the habit of waking up because he got used to me waking him. If she's sleeping during the day, we still wake her to eat at least every 3 hours. Initially I was doing this to help my milk supply. But I've continued doing it so that she gets in enough awake time during the day, so that she knows that night is time for sleeping. It's been working really well, but I know at some point I should probably stop waking her during the day, and just let her wake up when she's done with a nap and hungry. </p> <p>Does anyone else wake their baby during the day? At what age do/did you plan to stop waking your baby? </p>
