I never wake them up. They both wake up between 7-7:30a on their own. But even if they weren't up by then, I would let them sleep.

If we don't have To go anywhere, I let him wake naturally. Overall he wakes at 8-8:30.

Unfortunately we have to leave at 6:30 to drive DH to work. :(

Because of work I usually have to wake her. I ususally go in her room and start doing things and getting things together to try to slowly wake her. If she is still out I start talking softly and rub her tummy to slowly wake her up.

If it werent for work. I would let her sleep.

@WALLAROO: I would let the other one go for another 20 minutes, max. Otherwise, they're on opposite schedules for the rest of the day. A lot of twin moms are fine with that, but in our family, everyone needs to (more or less) be on the same napping/sleeping schedule :-) Luckily, if you put them down at the same time and feed at the same time, they'll probably wake up together, anyway!
I should add that if it's really hard to wake the other one up, watch until they start to come out of REM (stirring, wriggling, etc). Then it should be easier to wake them...and they'll probably be in a more pleasant mood!

@twoofeverything: At this age if one woke up before the other, did you wake the other to keep them on the same schedule or let the other one wake up on their own? It's so hard to figure out sleeping and napping with twins.

Unfortunately I have to wake DD at 6:30 so we can leave for daycare at 7 :(

On the weekends I let her sleep as long as she will - I love that early morning time to catch up on housework and stuff

We have to get up for work, so if she's not already up, I get her up at 6am.

I have been debating the same thing this morning! It is a little after 10 here and my 20 month old is still asleep from 7 pm last night. I am just letting her sleep. I guess she is going through a growth spurt.

On weekdays we wake them because we have to get ready and head to work/sitter. On the weekends we let them wake themselves (DD is 3yo and DS is almost 7m), but since they share a room DD usually wakes up when I go in to get DS after he wakes up.

I pretty much never wake my son up, but he is an early riser.

There have been a few occasions where he has slept until after 7, and I do a gentle wakeup (open door, turn off white noise, make some noise) if I need to leave for work.

I let my LO wake up on his own, which usually means more shut eye for me in the mornings. He gets really cranky if I have to wake him up for any reason.

Or do you let them wake up naturally?

We put the babies to bed earlier last night (6:30pm) to see if that bedtime would work. Our boy woke up at midnight to nurse and then didn't wake up until 5:30am. Our girl slept through the night and woke up at 5:30am as well. I nursed them both and they fell back asleep around 6:00am. They are still sleeping. Should I wake them at 8am to start the day or do I let them sleep and just wake up on their own. They are 11 weeks, 8 weeks adjusted.
