Both! DS is going to be 4, and he is so much fun! It is also so nice that he is getting independent now, and doesn't need me to do everything for him. I do miss him being a baby though, and looking back, it goes so fast! I miss the baby stage, and am super excited to go through it again, but at the same time, its so nice when they can do things on their own!

I can't wait until my LO is walking and talking. Right now, he loves to hang on me to practice standing, so I have him constantly underfoot.

I havent had my baby yet, but I seem to love kids in the 2-3 year old range the most, everything they say and do just seems so adorable. I think I would love my baby to stay in that range a bit longer

There are definitely aspects of the baby stage I will miss (the cuddling, how small she is, the coo's)...but I am excited to get to the more active/interactive stages as she will get older.

Everyone tells me to enjoy this baby stage (LO is 3.5 months) but with her fussiness and colic, I CAN'T WAIT for her to grow up a little bit. I feel badly for saying that, though. :(

I miss the baby stage but I love the toddler stage way more. I think people able to have a toddler who walks, and feeds himself is magic. I can't wait for him to grow a little more and actually starts talking.

But I'm sure when he's 3 or 4 I will miss the baby stage.

I can't believe how quickly Little M is growing. We look at her newborn photos and I get this pang of missing her as a baby. I am looking forward to her learning to talk and vocalize but I hope she doesn't turn into a rebellious teenager-- then I really wish she didn't grow up!

I don't know that I'll want the baby phase forever, but I definitely want to prolong having to face "teenager" years as long as possible!

I also have mixed feelings. As he gets older, some things get easier; at the same time, things get more difficult. I miss the moments where my son would happily snuggle/sleep on my chest. And there are many, many others. He was also such a good baby that I never wished he'd grow up and stop being a baby.

I have mixed feelings about it. I miss her being teeny tiny already, and she's only 4 months still. But I do look forward to things getting a little easier, and her being able to vocalize what she wants!

Not at the moment. I found every milestone (crawling, self-feeding, walking etc) she hit made her easier so right now I am just enjoying that she is growing more independent. I think I will miss the baby stage when she really doesn't need me anymore but that is still very far away.

I always hear moms say that their babies are growing up too fast and they want their babies to stay babies forever... or at least a little while longer.

I was never a big baby person, and I couldn't wait for Charlie to get older and walk and talk. This age that he's at now (23 months) is super fun and talking is definitely the most fun milestone to date. But yesterday I was watching old videos of him, and I was reminded of how much easier it was to take care of him when he just became a toddler and didn't throw tantrums, and I started missing that stage.

Now that we have Olive, I feel like she's growing so fast! On the one hand I want her to stay a baby since this is our last child and I really want to enjoy this stage. But on the other I want her to hurry up and grow up so she can play with Charlie. I'm definitely enjoying the baby stage a lot more this time around, and I bet that I'll really miss it when it's gone.

Do you want your baby to stay a baby forever, or can you not wait for them to start walking/talking/etc?
