It sounds awful to say but attractive people have it easier, throw in a killer personality and they are set. I had a long "awkward phase" that had a lot to do with my personality but my lack of cuteness at that time did not help! I know there is value in the "ugly duckling" experience, but I think it would be easier to be a regular duck the whole time than have to be an ugly ducking to be a swan later on.
