Sometimes I do. I'm a nurse so most of the time I actually shower after work in the afternoon.

I actually don't like sleeping with wet hair, so I don't shower at night consistently. But I used to and still do occasionally, so this is what I do:
After showering I use aveda smoothing creme in my ends, i brush my hair and wring it out then put it up in a hair turban. That helps take out a good chunk of the moisture.

Then I either just go to bed (without the turban), or I take my hair and twist it into a bun, secure with bobby pins.

In the morning, if I've done the latter, it is wavy/curly and then I will piece curl with either my flat iron or curling iron for a beach wave look.

If I went to bed with it damp, I will brush it, then flat iron it, and apply Moroccan oil to smooth.

Or if I'm really lazy I just keep it in the bun 😂

I always shower at night. I either wear my hair up (90% of the time) or if I wake up and it looks good then I wear it down. My hair curls up really well when I go to bed with wet hair vs. doing a frizzy wave when I let it air dry while walking around. No clue why.

@bhbee: I used to wash mine at night when at work. I ended up getting some rollers, I didn't go to bed in them though, I'd shower before dinner and take them out before going to bed. If my hair was still wet or damp I'd give it a blow dry with the rollers still in.

I'm always too tired to... But when I do, it always comes out better. But I have different hair I have wavy, coarse, thick hair, that tends to be dry. So my hair is usually better the second or third day after washing it. The day that I wash it it tends to be frizzier. So, when I have the energy to wash my hair at night, I just straighten it at night and sleep on it and when I wake up in the morning and re-straighten it it is less frizzy because it has gotten some more natural oil to it.

My hair is different than yours - fine, wavy/curly hair with lots of hairs on my head - but I always wash at night. I often dampen my hair in the morning with salt water and a little hair oil or coconut oil mixed together in a spray bottle and let it air dry again. That usually gets rid of any weird texture and refreshes the curls if they've flattened out from sleeping and I end up with a messy, wavy look.

I have fine/flat hair too and if I wash my hair at night I HAVE to dry it otherwise I'll wake up and it will look damp/greasy :bummed:

I usually loosely tie it at night and sleep on a silk pillow.

During the summer, I tend to shower at night. When I do, I wash my hair and use no conditioner. I will usually blow it dry, and then in the morning, hit it with a flat iron.

@SweetiePie: put it on my target list! Yeah I'm way too lazy for rollers too. Spraying something in my hair is about as good as it gets :silly:

I always wash and dry my hair at night with product. My hair texture is much different than yours, but it does also get crazy overnight. In the morning I go over it with the blow dryer and round brush just to kind of reset it and then use either a flat iron or curling iron. It takes me at least 25 minutes to dry my hair so if I did it in the morning I'd never be ready.

I have fine hair too, and I used to just blowdry my hair if I washed it at night otherwise it looked greasy in the morning. Since I started washing my hair with bicarb soda and apple cider vinegar, I can go to bed with wet hair and wake up with really nice wavy looking hair. I didn't even know that would be a bonus, but I guess the conditioner was weighing my hair down?

I have super fine flat hair. I wash it at night and go to bed with it wet half the time. If I have the energy I'll dry it.

In the morning, I use Garnier Root Amp by spraying some into my palm, rubbing it between my fingers and then throw my head upside down and vigorously rub the stuff into my roots. Then I use a rat tail and tease it to look crazy poofy, and then gently smooth the outer layer of my helmet. Once its mostly poofed and arranged, I use a fine setting spray over it in a light mist and smooth the flyaways and baby hairs on top of my head very lightly with my palms. Then I twirl the ends of my hair and the excess spray and product on my hands will smooth those out too. Then I wash my hands and go.

If I run short on time, I roll up to work with tore up hair and do the above process in the bathroom. It takes like 3 minutes.

If my hair starts to feel funky, I usually put it half up in a spider clip midday or use some Living Proof dry shampoo to freshen it up.

I do. I have wavy/curly hair and I shower, blow dry, and run a straightener through my hair (not fully, just enough to get the frizz out). Then I'll just style it however I feel like in the morning.

If I was a morning shower-er I would probably just put dry shampoo in most mornings because I always wake up later than I want!

We have similar hair. Mine is fine and looks flat pretty easily.

1) It's a 10 Volume spray is a MIRACLE WORKER.
2) I fully dry it at night (using the above) and then in the morning dry shampoo if needed and I use a round brush/hair dryer to reshape and revolumize. It's like 3 minutes instead of 20 or whatever.
3) I've also on occasion used big Velcro rollers. As soon as I dry a section at night I put a big roller in close to roots as possible. I use those clamps that hair stylists use (I think duckbill clips?) Leave them in until completely cool (so like 20 mins after I'm totally done drying). It creates such big volume so that when I sleep on it and wake up it becomes more normal volume. But I'm usually to lazy to do that whole process. I do it like once a month.

I should add, I'm already a dry shampoo addict. I use it at night if I'm not washing the next day, and lately have started using it right after I dry my hair to improve body - that's in the morning though.

I would love to shower at night and have my hair mostly done for the morning, but I've never figured out how to do it well. Do you do it? What is your routine? Are there secrets to making it look good?

I have (or used to) a fair amount of pretty fine hair that has a little texture. It easily looks flat and tends to hang onto weird positions (going to bed with wet hair is a disaster!). I also lost a lot of hair this year during a non viable pregnancy and then miscarriage, hormones are not my friend.

So any tricks for keeping body or style overnight, let me know!
