I'm in the habit from doing it for my clothes. I worked a few apparel retail positions, and they don't always come in fantastic conditions. Some aren't in bags (just tossed in a cardboard box, that is usually filthy), some are. </p> <p>I've gotten desperate a few times with everything being in the wash, or needing a change of clothes while we were out, etc. So I have totally done it. </p>
