I listen to NPR all the time, and we usually watch BBC World News and ABC News at night. Last night, though,there was a lot of violence in the reporting, and she was fixated on the TV. I ended up turning it off, because I don't want her exposed to that, even though she is too little to understand. I don't want to shield them from everything, but I kind of hate our local news anyways as far as what stories that choose to cover and the spin stuff normally gets. We typically leave the TV off until she's asleep (or if it's on, it's Frozen alldayeveryday). I like to watch the news in the morning before work, though so I try to get a few minutes in before I go wake her up.</p> <p>Maybe when she's a little older and we can discuss what we are seeing/hearing on the news, I'll feel better about watching it with her in the room? </p>
