@looch: I think that's the same one I have!

My work is in a call center, and all of us use the plantronics savi 440 wireless; it is one ear and you can take the headband off and just attach an earpiece if you wish. It comes with a backup battery that charges in the cradle while you use the other one, which is nice :)

@MrsSCB: I have the same one, and I agree that I prefer wireless, and with it just fitting on one ear rather than being headband-like.

I have a headset and I just learned it's Plantronics (haha never looked before!) It looks like this one: http://www.headsets.com/headset/Plantronics-CS50-Wireless-Headset-web-exclusive-price/?ppcf=t&gclid=CP3SyP7vtrgCFYie4AodEloAuQ

I really like that it's wireless, not because I've ever gotten up while on the phone but it just feels less restrictive than being tethered to something. I've never really had another one, but I like this one just fine! I think I'd prefer it to one that went around my ear (instead of the part that goes over the head) because those kinds of things hurt my ears sometimes, but that's just personal preference I think.

@mediagirl: @MrsTiz: Haha, my line manager called, lol.

What I was trying to write was about the corded/cordless options. When I had a corded set, I would just unplug myself from the phone base and keep my headset on. Looked goofy, but whatever!

I liked the headband because my ear would hurt just wearing the ear piece. I liked having the option to change from ear piece to head band.

Also, about the phone intercom, no idea if you can even get that to work over the headset. Our phones are super fancy and don't even have an intercom option any more, but I would suspect with that part, you'd have to call the phone manufacturer to see if there is a headset that supports it.

Ok, I have a wireless Savi, but I have used the Duo Set, and one is cordless (Savi) and the other corded.

I would get one with one ear piece. That way you can still hear people on the phone but hear what's around you, too without taking it off.

@looch, "please hold" :)

I've used wired and wireless ones, I prefer ones that have the option to put the ear piece on a headband.

For brands, I like Plantronics. I have one in my other work location, not sure what the brand is, but it was super simple to set up. Literally just take it out of the box and plug in.

I don't wear a headset but have worn one in previous jobs and for me, it was most important to find one that didn't make me sweaty.

I'm going to be moving into my own office soon, so i'm trying to get all my things together to make the transition easier for when LO is here & my boss told me to start looking for a headset today.

I answer all the phones here and direct calls where they need to go, and right now the phone rings out loud and when people need me, they use the intercom to talk to me at my desk, which is also out loud.. I want to find a headset that is comfy and will let me do what I need to but i've never worn one before & there are SO many options! My head is spinning looking at all of these!

What style do you have, if you wear one? The big fat ones, the wireless one? eep~!
