My husband's parents came to visit for 5 days and they never took their shoes off (maybe when they went to sleep they did)? Anyways, it was wet out and his Dad would come in and be squeak squeak squeaking all across the floor and then step onto the carpet like that's where you dry your shoes! I was so flustered but I don't have a good way of talking to his Dad...we don't see eye to eye on a lot of things so I keep quiet on stuff until I can pass it on to my husband who will mention it to his Dad if it's important to do so. I hate house guests and their shoes.
