The hunter idea sounds good, because I would like an option that's good for rain and snow, bit the problem is I'm pretty short...has anyone worn the shorter version? I can't tell if they'd look funny in person. I may go with the sorels, based on your amazing reviews! They're quick on/off and super warm and comfy (and the perfect addition to a legging/oversized sweater outfit that some may be opposed to but I love...). I have Bogs for that purpose. I've made my way through dozens of brands and these are by far the best. Actually, every member of my family has a pair. They're rated up to -40 degrees F so if warmth is a concern, these'll have you covered. This comes from a Florida girl, though. I will say that the last time I went to a snowy area (NYC in winter), I had Sorel's and my friend had Uggs. Her feet were soaking wet and freezing most if the time, and mine were dry an toasty. I walk a lot, but in a city so it is usually cleared pretty well...I hear uggs are not good for snow, but they are really the only cute snow boots I've been seeing! So, do you wear them in snow? Or have you found an alternative? </p>
